Kingdom Living Temple Church
Florence, SC
For generations, residents of Florence, SC have dealt with rusty pipes and discolored water with high levels of copper and lead, making it difficult to trust the water they drink. Climate change is exacerbating the situation, with frequent flooding contaminating wells and shutting down power. Many in the community have turned to plastic bottled water, a costly solution for families and the environment.
With the shared belief that safe water is a fundamental human right, not a matter of where you live or the color of your skin, New Alpha Community Development Corporation, All Aboard for Justice, The Solutions Project and SOURCE Global, PBC have come together to create a source of safe, climate-resistant and high-quality drinking water for the community, produced in an environmentally sensitive and sustainable way. Today, the Kingdom Living Temple, a Black church in Florence, is outfitted with SOURCE® Hydropanels, deliver premium-quality drinking water directly to a COVID-safe dispenser inside the church and open to the community.
